| "Cyberhunt" is the name I gave to a form of Internet enquiry sometimes called a "Net Trail" or "Web Quest". Basically, a question is set and beneath it is a link to an engaging website where children will find the answer to that question. It is an excellent way for children to use the Internet to find information, often in an entertaining way. |

| In the past I have been a part-time consultant for Becta helping to coordinate the New2Computers forum which was part of their ICT Advice service. In that role I had to write and deliver a daily nugget of wisdom ("Tip of the Day") for the subscribers. I have produced over a thousand of these and I reproduce them here as rich text files under various headings. |
Over the years (as a teacher, ICT Coordinator, ICT adviser and ICT lecturer) I have created or adapted many subject-specific, computer-based activities for use with KS 2 (and some for KS 1) children. Most of the headings below will be familiar to teachers of this age range. They encourage the development of computer skills within the context of familiar topics. Many involve such skills as searching and sorting a datafile, cutting and pasting in a word processor, and inserting appropriate clipart. The files can easily be edited to suit the age and ability of your particular pupils. A short explanatory text file is included with each "package".
Many of the files were created in WORD, PUBLISHER, EXCEL or in JUNIOR PINPOINT so having these software packages in school will help a great deal. These ZIP files contain the workfiles needed for the activities. WINZIP was used to compress the files for faster downloading. Click here
