Sustainable Science Selling!

Science Week 2009

In an attempt to save the planet, Colmore children decided to create items that were made from recycled materials. The mission was to make objects which could be sold (at open air markets) for a profit. The proceeds were to be put towards a recycling bin (better than the ones we have at the moment) for our playground. The children raised super amounts of money by making; Jewellery out of old crisp packets (Year 6), Easter cards made from recycled paper (made by Year 3), Fat balls for the birds (Year 4) and woven book marks made from plastic, paper and PVA glue (Year 5). We had great fun making these items but never forgot the important message of RECYCLING!
